CD Projekt announces The Witcher: DuelMail |

 CD Projekt announced that their smash hit RPG "The Witcher" (and one of the best games of 2007) will be featured as a free web-browser game. Game will be titled "The Witcher: DuelMail"and will be developed in Flash. The Witcher: DuelMail is a completely free-of-charge next-gen web-browser game that offers depth seldom found in similar products. Street Fighter II HD Turbo Beta on the way (but only on XBLA) |

 Capcom has announced several days ago that Street Fighter II HD Turbo Beta will be coming to Xbox Live Marketplace, but not for the Playstation Network on the PS3. Reasons for dropping the PS3 version are that they have overextended their resources and cannot commit to developing a version for the PS3. We hope that the final build comes to the PS3 and aswell as the Wii (because we know there is a lot of Wii gamers out there). EA gives Battlefield Heroes for free |

 Well this news will come as a shock for most of us, to hear that EA is giving a game for free is simply shocking. Well let's skip the shocking part and give some news about the gam, Battlefield Heroes is EA's first title that is offered for free, and features a built-in matchmaking system for fair play. Developed by DICE in Stockholm, Battlefield Heroes is EA's new web-focused free to download, free to play business model which generates revenue through advertising and micro-transactions. Gerhard Florin, EVP Publishing Americas-Europe at EA said: "Online gaming garners a massive audience, people want to play games in new ways, with easier access that is quick to the fun. With Battlefield Heroes, EA brings its first major franchise to North America and Europe with a new distribution model and pricing structure adapted to the evolving way that people play." Valve/Steam offering a free game for Geforce owners |

 In collaboration with Steam, Valve has offered one of their games for free download to all owners of Nvidia graphic cards. "Portal: First Slice" is an extended demo of a very popular game "Portal".  Blizzard has released the latest patch for their best selling MMO monster World of Warcraft, updating the version number of the game to 2.3.2. Lots of balance tweaks for spells, abbilities...You can read the full patch release notes inside. We bet all the WOW junkies will be pleased :-).  Highly anticipated MMO from Sony Online Entertainment titled Pirates of The Burning Sea has been released to the major public. Well, not really :), it's servers are online for all the players that have the game pre-ordered. For all the other pirates that will buy the game when it hits retail this will surely be a disadvantage, so SOE limited the possible gap between the players with a 21 lvl cap for the pre-ordered players.
